The last song, which is always Imagine by John Lennon, hit the final chord less than 90 minutes ago. Fingers hurt, voice is a little raspy but I’m flying high! Some shows go better than others, things happen. It is a rare night show that things are perfect. It’s Live Music! Tonight’s challenge, a fully charged wireless transmitter gave up the ghost. Right in the intro to American Pie. No worries…go old school, do the old hard wire / cable thing.
But tonight was special. Made new friends and had lots of close friends come to the show including a couple I haven’t seen in over30 years. Music brings people together and I think that’s why I love to perform. Tonight we had parents dancing with their little ones, people singing along, I even caught one table holding what looked to be a serious conversation with a couple of people still tapping their toes to the beat.
Looking forward to the next show….which happens to be tomorrow. Time for some recuperation!
